The Seminar of Pedagogy of the Official Association of "Licenciados" of Valencia was a movement of professional educators that, facing the educational wasteland that created the repression of the Franco regime, tried to, in a absolutely altruistic and disinteresed way, introduce in Spain modern pedagogy. In a time where the words "democracy" and "freedom" were subversive, they encouraged active participation of students in their classes, as well as freedom of speech and democratic management.
