Exhibition ‘Michavila: Geometry and Ecology’

Monographic exhibition that collects a selection of 30 works that belong to the two main periods of Joaquín Michavila: geometry and landscape.

 

The Martínez Guerricabeitia Room exhibits, under the title ‘Michavila: Geometría y Ecología’ (‘Michavila: Geometry and Ecology’), 30 works that include the two main cycles of the Valencian contemporary artist, coming from public institutions and private collections. The tour starts with the peak geometrical period of Michavila and, after the transition through ‘El Palmar’ (1980), it finishes with the landscaping of the series ‘El Llac’. Aiming to approach art to society, the exhibition, open to the public until 22 May, is completed with the publication of a catalogue and guided visits and free learning activities.
