This evening at 19h, Cultural Centre La Nau will host the “Cultural policies” panel discussion, which will gather all the political groups which have institutional representation, meeting then together in the forthcoming elections at the Corts Valencianes.

Today’s event is part of the “Electoral debates at La Nau” cycle, a number of panel discussions along with the Vice-Principal for Culture and Equality of Universitat de València, in quality of public service, who intends to contribute to the social debate through the approach of the leaders of the parties to the citizens facing the forthcoming elections. The social commitment from Universitat is found in its own Statutes of the institution, in which Universitat de València is established and it is “at the service of the intellectual and material development of its cities” and “it actively projects itself on the problems of Valencian citizens” (art. 4 and 5)

The debate, which will try to analyse the situation and the challenges of the cultural industry, will have the participation of Miguel Ángel Mulet (PPCV), Carmen Amoraga (PSPV-PSOE); Josep Mª Pañella (Compromís), Robert Lisart (EUPV), Juan Emilio Adrián Serrano (UPyD); Pepe Almería (PODEMOS) and María Quiles Bailén (Ciutadans). The debate will be moderated by the Vice-Principal for Culture and Equality at Universitat de València, Antonio Ariño.

The event will be at the Aula Magna at the historical building and free entry until forum is completed. In order to make this debate accessible to a higher number of people, Universitat will also broadcast live by streaming this debate through its TV by IP (http://mediauni.uv.es/tv), from which the podcast will later be able to be watched again. The panel discussion will be opened with some interventions from different political representatives and right after this, the public will be able to ask all their questions to the ones at the table.

The “Electoral debates at La Nau” cycle (#EleccionsNau, tag for Twitter) will continue on 4th and 5th May. The political representatives of the different parties will debate about the autonomous policies in terms of cooperation for the development and gender equality, respectively. All of these will be celebrated at 19 and will be accessible online through MediaUni.
