A few days from the first year of Fukushima's nuclear disaster, the round table mesa redonda 'The Shadow of Fukushima: A revision of the idea of progress' suggests tackling the keys of the accident in perspective, the influence of radiactivity emitted on the health of citizens and its impact on both Spanish and European nuclear policies. Likewise, the round table aims to delve in the criticism of the concept of development based on the risk of a new nuclear catastrophe, the first with a massive leak of radioactivity in a developed country, which challenges the narratives of security and control in regards to the development of nuclear energy as a bet for the future.
