Specialists of the Universitar analyse the creativity and the teaching innovation to the development in a seminar

Creatives processes in teaching, actions to the entrepreneurship of new teaching solutions, the cooperative and intercultural work, and the capacitation of the faculty for the educational innovation are some of the points that will be presented in the seminar ‘Creativity and teaching innovation for the development’, which will take place on the 23 and 24 May, in the old Teacher Training School of the Universitat de València.

This seminar is an initiative of CREARI Cultural Pedagogies Research Group of the Universitat de València, coordinated by the professor Amparo Alonso-Sanz, which has the support of the UNESCO Chair of Studies about the Universitat development and the Institute of Creativity and Teaching Innovation (ICIE). The Cooperation Area of the General Foundation of the Universitat de València, the Faculty of Teacher Training and the Ecole Normale Superieure of the Universidad of Abdelmalek Essaadi Tétouan, Morocco, collaborates too.

It is a project supported in the participation of doctors and specialists in teaching, creativity and innovation which give classes in the degrees in Preschool Education and Primary School Education, in the master’s degree in Secondary Education Teaching and in Research Didactics, and in the postgraduate studies in Museum Teaching, of the Universitat de València.

As the professor Amparo Alonso-Sanz explains, the main objective of this academic meeting is, on the one hand, to contribute to the continuous training of professors of the University of Tétouan through visiting professors who will extend the training of this seminar to their partners when they come back to their country. On the other hand, to promote the training of active Spanish and in initial training faculty. ‘It will be enriching to listen to teaching experiences which come from another culture, because with a better knowledge of the other xenophobic barriers are broken and multiculturalist and intercultural works can be develop’, she sais.

However, the seminar will transmit contents related with the importance of the creatives processes in teaching too; to promote creativity techniques; to transfer the applicability of the creativity to teaching spaces like the base for teaching education, the resolution of problems in centres and divergent thinking; to suggest actions to the entrepreneurship of new teaching solutions; to value the regeneration of tendencies in teaching and creativity; to work in a cooperative and intercultural way in the research of new solutions to teaching problems; and to train the faculty to the teaching innovation.

Museums and heritage, teaching innovation, mobile devices and online technology to the teaching innovation, urban surroundings like creativity source, the teaching environment design, the evolution of the initial training of secondary Moroccan teachers, the game dynamics to the development of the teaching or the value of the region like a source of inspiration to the teaching will be come of the topics which will be presented by the specialist in education of the Universitat de València. This way, Alons-Sanz points that teaching innovation ‘has to got various surroundings; formal, like schools and high school, and informal, like museums, academies of cultural centres; physics, like the city, and virtual, like social networks, for example; traditional and vanguards. Only by developing networks between people in different environments, but interested in innovation, will be possible to contribute to the teaching improvement’.

The total attendance to the sessions allows the getting of a certificate of the UNESCO Chair and the validation of a credit.
