Opening ceremony of the 2023-2024 academic year.

A Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation's Exhibition in Quart de Poblet

The exhibition, produced by the University of Valencia through the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation's Support Unit, celebrates the declaration of Turia Natural Park's fifth anniversary. It is composed of 25 exhibition panels produced by the teaching and researching staff of the different departments of the University, as well as by the technicians of the Natural Park and other specialists affiliated to the medium-lower stretch of this emblematic Valencian river.

No doubt this constitutes a great multidisciplinary exhibition since the areas of study cover the different Natural Park's habitats or environmental units (the river, the woods and the fertile region), focusing on interesting topics such as its botany, fauna; its landscape and its agronomy; its history and culture, etc. of this unique space located in the metropolitan area of Valencia.

The Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation, Jorge Hermosilla, has shown a special interest in making this exhibition, pioneering in the history of El Turia, tour all the towns connected to the river, due to the strong bonds (social, económic, cultural or environmental) that these towns hold with the Valencian river.
