The UV and its natural environments: Turia Natural Park
Schedule: From 3 march 2012 to 20 march 2012. Monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday and friday at 09:00 to 14:00.
Place: Antic Saló de Plens del Ayuntamiento (Ca La Vila) de Llíria
The exhibition, produced by the UV through the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation Support Unit, commemorates the Turia's Natural Park fifth anniversary. It is composed of 24 exhibition panels produced by the Teaching and Researching Staff of different departments of the University, as well as by the Natural Park technicians and other specialists linked to this mid to lower stretch of the emblematic Valencian river.
There's no doubt that it constitutes a great multidisciplinary work, as it embraces the different habitats or enviromental areas of the Natural Park (river, forest and orchard), where the relevance of the botanical, faunal, landscape, agronomic, historic and cultural interest of this singular place in the city of Valencia and its metropolitan area stands out.
The Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation, Jorge Hermosilla, has shown a special interest in trying to make this exhibition, pioneering in the Turia's history, arrives to all the towns that compose the Natural Park, due to strong bonds (social, economic, cultural, of landscape or environmental) that these towns hold with the river.
Check if it is possible to make visits on the afternoon.
Exhibition organised by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection in coordination with the Lliria City Council.
