40,000 years ago, the Chinese have mixed texture, colour and sculpture to produce the first form of porcelain. The Asiatic artisans quickly began to experiment with white clay and extreme temperatures to create beautiful and decorative materials. These designs decorated plates, bowls, teapots, statues and vases. Designs that tell stories as well as the Chinese painting that is formed by one or more poems, calligraphy, a painted image and the artist signature.
