‘César Simón’ Poetry Award
The ‘César Simón’ Poetry Award is extensible to authors of every nationality, which should present a non publisher nor awarded work. The topic and the rime are free and the language should be Spanish. Participants aim for an award with a monetary amount depending on the retention and publication of the work in the Servei de Publicacions de la Universitat de València

Universitat de València Creative Writing Awards

The Universitat de València Creative Writing Awards are convened annually to promote and recognise literacy creation among university students. Students from all Valencian universities enrolled in official studies and who are under 35 years old are eligible to apply.

There are six categories: poetry in Valencian, poetry in Spanish, narrative in Valencian, narrative in Spanish, theatre and short film script. Each award-winning work has a monetary prize of 1,000 euros, in addition to the publication of the winning text. In the Short film script, the work is not edited, but 2,000 euros are received to carry out the production of the short film in a determined period of time.

The Universitat de València Creative Writing Awards are promoted by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Employment and Training Programmes and the Student Delegation and organised by the Information and Promotion Service (Sedi) with the collaboration of the Literature, Poetry, Performing Arts and Cinema Departments of the Office of the Vice-Principal for Culture and Sport, the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication, Edicions 96 and the 21st Century Theatre Collection.
