Exhibition that is about the multifaceted and interesting figure of Elías Tormo (Albaida, 1869 – Madrid, 1957): full university professor, dean, vice-principal and principal at the Universidad Central (Central University), member of the Historical Studies Centre, of the trust of the Museo del Prado, of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes y de la Historia (Royal Academy of Fine Arts and of History), of the Parliament and Senate, minister of Instrucción Pública y Bellas Artes (Public Education and Fine Arts)… The figure of Tormo is relevant in the development of this discipline knowledge, but also of the artistic heritage protection measures and its dissemination initiatives through tourism.
