On 11 June 1937, a large national public works exhibition was inaugurated at La Lonja. The showing we present in its memory is divided into four sections. It underlines the political nature of the 1937 exhibition. It analyses the effects of the exhibition in relation to the internal and external propaganda of the besieged Republic. It shows the works exhibited in the difficult year 1937 through the existing photographs, press, posters... And reflects on what could have been exhibited through the study of its antecedents. The showing is distributed in 17 panels where you can contemplate unpublished photographs of the original exhibition, its wide diffusion in the press or the magnificent posters that advertised it, in addition to three original posters from 1936 that have been restored by the Demetrio Ribes Chair.
