Course content Democracy is expressed, amongst other variables, by the possibilities, stages, mechanisms, binding character with which citizen participation can be applied. In this regard, citizenship must be offered opportunities that guarantee its knowledge, power and will to participate.

With the purpose of fostering these three axes, the current proposal intends to combine analytical reflection over participation, the critical eye around communicative strategies and the generation of public opinion, the presentation of participation experiences in the policy field (citizen authority, participative budgeting (citizen earing, participative budgeting, constituent process, etc.) and the contribution of methodology in participative processes.
