Under the title Mujeres: territorios artísticos de resistencia is presented this exhibition at the Sala Estudi General of La Nau, Cultural Centre of the University of Valencia. In this exhibition is shown a selection of works of women artists-by the curator, the doctor Irene Ballester-whose work has its background in equality, needed for a democratic society. They show themselves as the subject of power, and his work is the element through which they empower themselves for making present the invisible, where the corporeal stands out as the undisputed protagonist, as a part of a territory of resistance through which new visual and narrative voices become present, whose open codes, allow new meanings. Images, all of them, which will break with the state of tension and passivity that phallocentrism has imposed to women
