The IEEE (de Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), is included in the i-e-cubo union. It is the largest non-profit international association of scientists, professionals and students from all branches of technology, from Electrical Engineering to Telecommunications, through Electronics, Computer Science, Telematics and Computing. This association has awarded a group of Engineering students of the School of Engineering of the Universitat de València.

IEEE is a reference at the level of publications, standards, impulsion of projects and especially for its informative task towards society. And this is precisely where its branch of students located in the ETSE-UVcollaborates, one of the more than three thousand university associations spread over a hundred countries. This branch of students has been recognised as an exemplary branch of region 8, comprising Europe, Africa and Middle East. After a competitive evaluation process of applications, the IEEE pointed IEEEsbUV as one of the most proactive student groups.
