Researchers from Würth Elektronik Chair created by Würth Elektronik eiSo and Universitat de València are working as interns at a company in Germany this summer. They are carrying it out characterization and strength, resistance, impedance and resistive response testing to various compressions of different shielding products of Würth Elektronik.

The Chair, directed by professor José Torres has a twofold objective: to research foundations of EMC and to study its practical application.  The research will be developed within the Group of Research for Digital Systems Design and communications (DSDC),that forms a part of the Department of Electronic Engineering of the School of Engineering (ETSE) and Würth Elektronic eiSos will provide financial support. With the present agreement, the company offers researchers opportunities that may help in their Final Degree Projects, F¡nal Master´s Degree Projects and Doctoral theses.

Among the tasks that the researchers are carrying out - the students Alejandro Serrano (Master´s Degree in Electronic Engineering) and Antonio Alcarria (Degree in Electronic Engineering for Telecommunications) - are the acquisition and comparison of magnetic permeability of Noise Suppression Sheets, as well as the testing of losses, the attachment and detachment according to international standards

with regard to to Noise Suppression Sheets (Intra-decoupling ratio, Inter-decoupling ratio...) using Near Field probes and posterior microstripline in order to develop and design adequate fixtures for carrying out these measures.  Moreover, implementation and testing of their final projects will be carried out before their defence presentation at UV.

Würth Elektronic eiSos and the Universitat de València are working together to establish an Institutional Chair for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) in Smart Grids. The cooperation agreement was signed by professor Dr. Esteban Morcillo Sánchez, Principal of Universitat de València, and Oliver Konz along with Thomas Schrott, the CEOs of Würth Elektronik eiSos.
