The School of Engineering (ETSE-UV) has received a donation of several industrial automation equipment from B&R Automation company. The donation of this equipment, as well as the appropriate education from the company in the use of B&R technologies for advanced automation facilities design and implementation, provides the School of Engineering (ETSE-UV) with industrial equipment for training students in the latest development and trends in the area of industrial automation heading towards a new paradigm in the 4.0 industry.

B&R is an Austrian company with a regional office recently set up on the UV Science Park, with a marked collaboration nature between departments and research groups related to the development of technologies of industrial automation such as the Department of Electronic Engineering and the Processing and Digital Designs Research Group (GPDD).

In addition to encouraging the establishment of bounds in coordinated research, this collaboration will allow students of the degree in Industrial Electronic Engineering (GIEI) and of the Master’s Degree in Design, Installation and Maintenance of the Industrial Automation Systems (DIMSAI) to use cutting-edge technology.
