International Conference that takes place at the Faculty of Geography and History from 9 to 16 May at the Saló de Graus Manuel Ardit.
Silk has been an essential element in the economic, social, architectural, cultural and political development of Valencia. The Faculty of Geography and History proposes a conference on the history of silk and its relation with Valencia from the Antiquity to the 19th century, given by renowned specialists in this field of the Universitat de València and other international institutions.
Analysing and making known to the general public the significance of the production and trade of silk in the economic, social, architectural, cultural and political development of Valencia.
