The Doctoral Programme, Geography and History of the Mediterranean from the Prehistory to the Modern Age, has been made on the basis of a set of diverse programmes taught in the Faculty of Geography and History of the UV General Study with the aim of joining lines and research teams, which enable a better use of the material and human resources of the Centre.

It stands out its strong interdisciplinary character, geared towards fostering the suitable scenery for the carrying out of the Doctoral Theses by those students who come not only from the UV but from any of the University domain of the Mediterranean basin, including North African countries and Near East. In this regard, it is worth highlighting the different teams which integrate the Programme keep several collaborations with other universities, institutions, national and international, of which doctoral students’ training is well benefitted.
