Work placements

General procedure for postgraduate students’ management of traineeships in companies and entities.
(To establish with the academic head of the postgraduate study)

Tasks:

  1. Establishment of the conditions for the traineeship (form provided) by the Academic Coordinating Committee (CCA) for postgraduate studies and report to ADEIT (University-Business Foundation).
  2. Inform the students of the conditions of the traineeship.
  3. Submission of the application forms by the students on the website:  http://www.adeit.uv.es/pf/inscripciones/ and in their case of the “Autopracticum”
  4. Information for the academic mentors by the office of the director for postgraduate studies.
  5. Promotion: informing the companies and entities and obtaining traineeship vacancies.
  6. Assessment of the traineeships that the CCA offers.
  7. Students’ allocation in work placements.
  8. Formalisation of work placements agreements.
  9. Monitoring and assessment of work placements.

Student’s profile:

  • Number of students and traineeship profiles of interest: 10 students. Profile of Electronic Engineering
  • Prior studies required: degree in technical engineering (3-year course), degree in engineering (6-year course) or a degree in physics.
  • Location: Valencian Community

The main goal of doing traineeships in a company is to introduce the student to the world of work. In addition to this main goal, the student acquires through traineeships the necessary skills to
meet these other general goals:

  • Apply the competences acquired during the Master’s degree to the professional activity.
  • Work in groups in a working environment.
  • Facilitate employability for Master’s degree students.
  • Assess the training acquired for employability.

The following should be emphasised as specific goals:

  • Design of electronic products.
  • Participation in RDI projects in companies.
  • Development of industrial electronic systems.
  • Acquisition and treatment of signals for the control of electronic systems.
  • Development of any task within the processes of design and development of electronic products.
  • Solution of problems in electronic systems.
  • In this Master’s degree of vocational nature, the necessary skills to develop new electronic products, as well as to manage and coordinate any type of RDI project related to electronics, are provided to students.
