The Universitat de València organises the Second Healthy Week between 5 and 7 October on behalf of the “Healthy University Days’”

 

On Monday 5 October, at the Faculty of Philology, environmental volunteering students will carry out the workshop “Responsible Consumption, Healthy Consumption”, in order to make visible the ecologic impact produced by specific food from its source until the supermarket. Likewise, nutrition and nursing students will carry out activities to determine cardiovascular risks and inform on different topics on “nutrition and health” at the Burjassot-Paterna Campus, specifically at the ETSE.

On Tuesday 6, between 10 and 12, the Blasco Ibáñez Campus, aong with the Faculty Geography and history, there will be an information post to tackle topics on sexually-transmitted illnesses with the collaboration of the Health Ministry and a second post directed by students from the Faculty of Nursing Training whom will carry out the workshop “Education in health: healthy habits”.

In the Tarongers Campus, Nutrition students will be giving briefings on healthy habits and environmental volunteering will be done at their workshop. The environmental volunteering will develop and analyse products which look innocent within their “Responsible Consumption” workshop.

At the Burjassot-Paterna campus, at the Institute’s headquarters, students from the Faculty of Physiotherapy will develop different workshops on postural hygene (to be confirmed by the centre).

Finally, on Wednesday 7 Nutrition students will attend a table at the Faculty of Pharmacy throughout the morning in order to give information on “nutrition and health”. Environmental volunteering will also inform on their activities.

From 10 to 13, at the Tarongers Campus and goes under the theme “Physical Activity and Health”, there will be some workshops such as “Physical condition test”, to be carried out by students from the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences. Nursing students will carry out a workshop on “cardiopulmonary reanimation” and again, they will be at an information post to tackle topics on sexually-transmitted illnesses thanks to the collaboration with the Ministry of Health.

At the Blasco Ibañez Campus, at the Faculty of Medicine’s door, there will be some information posts for “postural hygene workshops” and others on “nutrition and health” which will be conducted by medicine and physiotherapy students.
