Xavier Gómez i Font Awards to linguistic quality of TFGs and TFMs in Valencian and English aim at promoting the proper use of Valencian and English in the academic works of students, encourage the academic use of Valencian and stimulate the use of English as a tool for internationalising the Universitat.

Xavier Gómez i Font

(Fondeguilla 1962 – Valencia 2009)

Linguist and professor of the Universitat de València, he was distinguished for an active defence of the social use of Valencian and the values of multilinguism. The Universitat gives him a little tribute dedicating these awards to his memory.

Students of the UV

Requirements:

The degree final projects (TFG) and the master’s degree final projects (TFM) must be completed entirely in Valencian or English by the students of the Universitat de València enrolled in the TFG or TFM in the academic year 2016-2017.

Deadline:

31 October 2017

Monetary award:

Five prizes of 500 euros are awarded, three prizes for works done in Valencian and two for those made in English. Up to five secondary prizes of 100 can be granted when recommended by the quality and quantity of submitted works, with a maximum overall amount of 500 euros.
