Programme aimed to the recruitment and promotion of the talent of young people between the ages of 18 and 31 with innovative business ideas.

The UV takes part for the third year in a row as Centre of the YUZZ Programme. This programme is coordinated by the Santander International Entrepreneurship Centre (CISE), which is sponsored by Banco Santander, and collaborates locally with the UV through the EMPREN + Programme, which is aimed to support university entrepreneurs and is coordinated by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Research and Science Policy.

YUZZ Programme takes place in more than 47 public and private local entities committed to innovation and entrepreneurship in national territory. YUZZ counts also on the collaboration of other entities and organisation in the national level, such as Indra, Tuenti, Intel, Organization of Ibero-American States, Secot, Fundación Princesa de Girona, EY Foundation and RedEmprendia, who promote the talent of young people with business projects.

What does YUZZ Programme offer?

- The 20 chosen projects will be incorporated to the programme totally free of charge and will be allowed in the center YUZZ of UV, located in the seat of the “California Spain-Campus” of VLC/CAMPUS (International Campus of Excellence) in the Beatriu Civera Building (Tarongers Campus)

- For the 6-month duration of the programme, candidates will be provided with physical space for the development of their idea. Besides, they will relate to other entrepreneurs and will be trained by a network of more than 200 experienced professionals who will guide them (along with an individual tutor) on how to make a more viable business plan for each project. The training will take place during one or two evening sessions per week.

- Once the training and advising process is completed, the best entrepreneur of each YUZZ center will travel to Silicon Valley, the worldwide mecca of innovation within the area of new technologies, where they will have access to financing forums, counselling in internationalisation and contact with investors.

- In addition, the three best projects of the whole country will receive a monetary award to help them starting their business: 30 000 € to the first award, 20 000 € to the second and 10 000 € to the third. On the other hand, thanks to the collaboration of EY Foundation, the programme has the YUZZ Woman Prize, which offers 20 000 € to fund the best project led by a female entrepreneur and the support of EY consultants to speed up the process.
