Trip 1 April

The Universitat de València, through the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation and the Office of the Vice-Principal for International Relations and Cooperation, maintains the Erasmus at the Territory programme. In this fourth edition, training itineraries that will allow to show some Valencian municipalities referents for their culture and heritage will be shown.

These itineraries are addressed to the students of the Erasmus programme of the Universitat for the 2016-2017 academic year. Routes, planned in collaboration with the corresponding town councils, are intended to enlighten the Erasmus programme students about economic, cultural and landscape values of the Valencia region.

Requena exhibits a rich history, which stems from its strategic location dominating since ancient times the route linking Valencia with the Castilian plateau.

Its old town reflects the splendour of those times in which, curiously, the municipality did not depend on the wine business, but on the production of silk, as recalled in the Art of Silk College located in the very heart of the town.

The programme offers an itinerary through ancient caves in which they stored wine, oil and cereals in large jars.

ScheduleFrom 20 february 2017 to 1 april 2017. Every day at 00:00 to 09:00.
