The import / export of biological samples is subject to regulation in many countries.
It is the responsibility of the recipients of the strains to know whether there are special requirements for the importation of strains into their country. This being the case, they should inform the CECT of the procedure for making shipment and providing the necessary documentation.
Depositors who wish to send strains to the CECT must follow the instructions provided in the Depositors' Guide.
