PhD programme linked to this Master’s programme: History of Art

Academic, scientific or professional interest: Stemming from a PhD under a Programme of Excellence, this inter-university masters provides advanced education in the area of visual arts by means of academic specialisation in the analysis of art production and its creative and receptive processes over time and in different cultures. It also aims to prepare professionals with extensive knowledge on art heritage, for them to participate in conservation and dissemination processes for the social benefit of people, and to promote the critical knowledge of contemporary art expressions related with the world of images. In both its pathways -academic and professional-, the programme provides the necessary research methodology to undertake research tasks in all areas of artistic activity, including the production and public reading of a doctoral dissertation.
