Academic, scientific or professional interest: Sport is a social and economic phenomenon that has contributed significantly to the achievement of some strategic objectives of the European Union, especially on those related with solidarity and prosperity, and has offered diverse employments opportunities in a global market. In developed countries there has been a remarkable growth of activities and resources devoted to the promotion of sport practices, not only as a promoter of public health for citizens, but also as sporting excellence, the best representation of competitive sports. Taking into account the evidence that in the future employment market the specialised training will play an important role for employability, the situation described above reinforces the need to train professionals in the field of analysis of sport performance, which meet the needs detected in Spain and Europe, through a programme adapted to an international context as represents the Master’s Degree in Analysis of Sport Performance. A programme that train professionals in the analysis of athletes performance in sports clubs, in rehabilitation centres, in the design of intervention programmes in the training context, in the management of projects in technical sporting organizations areas of national and international nature, in the supervision and development of monitoring works for athletes in sports clubs and research laboratories, with special attention to the use of new technologies.
