PhD programme linked to this Master’s programme: Nursing
Academic, scientific or professional interest: Care for people in the health-disease continuum is the ontological element of the discipline of nursing and it is the main activity that professional nurses carry out. This care is changing to meet the needs arising from each of the levels of the health-disease process. This requires a level of professional knowledge and training to ensure the positive impact of this care on people.
Cancer is the second leading cause of death in Western Europe in the late 20th century. It is one of the major public health problems of society because of its high mortality and significant morbidity. It also implies a social and psychological burden that influences the lives of people with the disease and their families.
This Master's is jointly organised by the Department of Nursing and the 'La Fe' School of Nursing.
