Academic, scientific or professional interest: The objectives and contents of the Master's Degree in Developments in Research and Treatment in Psychopathology and Health are focused on promotion, prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation, all of them related to people’s health and welfare. It provides applied training, aimed at professional practice, and a basic and applied research training to allow the completion of the doctoral degree in Psychology. The Master’s offers advanced training and specialised knowledge, attitudes and skills that allow professionals to operate in the fields of health psychology and clinical psychology. It also seeks to foster the students’ critical and thinking skills that result in an improvement of their professional practice and in the development and application of the knowledge acquired. This Master’s has two pathways of specialization, which cover the main demands of Psychology graduates for their access to the labour market, which are Health Psychology and the specialization in mental health. For this reason, the contents and objectives are focused on training the students in these pathways and specialisations.
