Course: María Zambrano and painting. Notes for a method of reading of Contemporary Art.
This course wants to analyze the history of the art of Spain in the 20th century through the thought of an unquestionable protagonist of the Spanish cultural scenery: the philosopher María Zambrano. Zambrano was able to deal with aesthetic and philosophical issues of the 20th century by finding, from an aesthetic point of view, the ability to hold the look with a life's overview much deeper than a retinal vision.
This course will have a theoretical and practical nature. On this last point, reading unpublished manuscripts and attendance to an exhibition are scheduled so that students can compare the aesthetic experience with the proposal of Zambrano's method.
