From 2 to 5 May 2017 in the Tarongers Campus of the Universitat de València, the 13th National Meeting of Rescue and the 1st National Meeting of Traumatology, organised by the Universitat de València along with the Provincial Consortium of Firefighters of Valencia. The goal of these meetings is to enrich institutional relations and to improve and develop knowledge and action skills for when a rescue in a traffic accident is needed. Mr. Francisco Alonso, INTRAS Director, took part on them with his conference “Prevención de los traumatismos viales desde el factor humano y la salud vial en el caso español”.

The framework of the project to a national level to Professional Firefighters Services of Health Emergencies and Students of Health Sciences. The project has a training and disclosing content. The idea is to count with experienced professionals when it comes to emergencies in traffic accidents, both in the health field (UV and SES *) and the operative part of the rescue (mainly firefighters). The goal is to train, promote and improve rescue techniques and procedures and health assistance in the first moments of a traffic accident. Moments in which corresponding health help is not there yet and a sanitary initial action from the firefighters is needed.
