Training information and guidance

The Information Service - DISE is an information and documentation centre specialised in higher education matters and youth. DISE’s goal is to gather, process, and distribute information of interest to the university community. This interest also encompasses more general areas, which contributes to covering all the information needs of students and young people.

DISE provides information on the following subjects:

• Grants: grants in force in Spain and abroad, funds offered by different organisations, and European movement programmes for the young.
• Courses, seminars and masters: postgraduate and specialisation courses, courses abroad, foreign language and culture courses, summer universities.
• Studies: admission requirements and curricula in Universitat de València. Postgraduates programmes, official masters and doctorates.
• Academic management: information on enrolment, transfer of records, optional courses, etc.
• Employment: official competitions, work placements and other employability resources.
• Accommodation: halls of residence, flat database, and legal information on rental matters.

Everybody can have access to the DISE information personally in the enquiries section or asking the informers in the three DISE offices at the three campuses. Telephone and mail enquiries are also dealt with. There is also an electronic information service accessible on the Internet: www.uv.es/dise

The work carried out by DISE in the selective dissemination of the information is noteworthy. The information is distributed in the Universitat centres, youth information centres, secondary schools in the Valencian Country, and information services in all the Spanish universities.

In addition, together with the Language Policy Service, DISE organises the programme Get to know Universitat, a communication initiative addressed to future university students including different actions: an information session for secondary education counsellors, guided tours around the campuses for future university students, degree information sessions, and the production of specific information materials on Universitat de València and its studies. DISE also designs the Universitat stand in the yearly trade fair Formaemple@ organised by the Regional Ministry for Education, Culture and Sports, coordinates information matters and attends to visitors.
