URGENT ACTION RE: COLOMBIAN OBJECTOR LUIS GABRIEL CALDAS LEON
Luis Gabriel Caldas León, the Colombian objector imprisoned as
"deserter", was released from prison on 28 November after 5 1/2
months. However, he has been released only to receive death
threats to both himself and his family, as well as the threat of
a second sentence. Unless he accepts enlistment into the army
within six days of his release, he is liable to be imprisoned for
anything from five months to ten years.
