"The Deal"

A Hyperdrama in one short act

What follows is a short one-act play generated by a script written in hypertext (HTML). The script generated by hypertext, if performed or produced, would result in a simultaneous-action play or an interactive movie.

In a simultaneous-action play, more than one scene is going on at the same time. In "The Deal," scenes in the conference room and the adjoining office occur together, so each individual audience member must decide where to be, which scene to see. In the script, this is done with menu choices.

In an interactive movie, the viewer would decide which scene to follow whenever the narrative branched into more than one alternative. Again, this choice is selected from a menu.
