PhD Program in Human Resources Psychology

Aims

The PhD program has the following aims:

    1. To promote the PhD students’ research qualifications in the following areas:

      • Human resources and organizational development, seeking for the growth of human capital, as well as the efficacy and the innovativeness of the organizations, putting an emphasis on the psychosocial perspective.

      • Quality of working life with a special attention given to the analysis and prevention of psychosocial risks, health promotion at work.

    2. To create a positive environment which stimulates the PhD student to develop a high quality PhD dissertation and enhance the visibility of their contributions encouraging the publication of the results in prestigious peer reviewed scientific journals.

    3. Provide opportunities for research in an international context. The program gathers PhD students from different nationalities. It also promotes the mobility to other universities and develops international research projects in which prestigious foreign researchers are involved.

    4. Promote the transfer of the research outputs to the socioeconomic environment paying special attention to the interests of targets, such as Human Resources Management Departments, social agents, and professionals in the field. The cooperation with companies, institutions and social agents is a privileged strategy  to achieve these aims.
