1. (Optional) Expression of the interest in the program. Any person interested in the program is invited to contact the Program administrative staff at any moment of the academic year, by sending an email to rrhhdoc@uv.es. The adminstrative staff will answer providing relevant information about the program and about the application for admission, the required documents and the main steps of the process.
2. Pre-enrollment in the program. The announcement of the pre-enrollment in the research phase of the PhD program is announced on a yearly basis by the University of Valencia. Therefore, it may be subject to change. Interest people need to check the announcement issued in the web page of the University (PONER DIRECCIÓN WEB DE POSTGRADO) for each academic year. To submit the pre-enrollment application before the deadline fixed every year is mandatory. Moreover, in order to prove the compliance with the current legislation, the application must be accompanied by the relevant supporting documents (previously mentioned and also referred to in the call).
3. Admission.
3.1.) The CCD will decide on every application after having considered the merits of the applicant, according to the established admission and selection criteria.
3.2.) The CCD will appoint a supervisor for every admitted applicant. The supervisor will be a member of the research staff involved in the program.
Note. Should the applicant need a proof of admission to the research phase of the PhD program in order to apply for a research scholarship (becas para investigadores en formación), such proof can be solicited from the Coordinators of the Program at the convenient time to submit it within the deadline of the grant submission. For it, the candidate or applicant needs to contact the administrative staff of the program.
4. Enrollment. Once accepted to the PhD program, the applicant will have to complete the enrollment process. The registration will give him or her the right for the academic tuition, the use of the resources necessary for the development of their work and all the rights corresponding to the official postgraduate students of the University of Valencia.
Note. Once enrolled in the PhD program, it is recommended that immediately the PhD student applies for the NIE (Número de Identidad de Extranjeros) or the supporting documents of being an EU resident in the registry office. Please take into account that some scholarship calls require the foreign PhD students to be in possession of the NIE or of the register of the EU citizen before the announcement of the call.
