On April 2nd, during the XII seminars on the prevention strategies for psychosocial risks at work celebrated in Granada, José María Peiró, professor of the Social Psychology Department of the University of Valencia received the gold medal for his outstanding professional merits in industrial relationships and science at work 2010, awarded by the Consejo General de Relaciones Industriales y Licenciados en Ciencias del Trabajo. José M. Peiró is the Coordinator of the Research Institute of Personnel Psychology, Organizational Development and Quality of Working Life (IDOCAL) at the University of Valencia.

Erasmus Mundus Master in Work, Organizational and Human Resources Psychology receives the “Lable of Excellence” of the The Mediterranean office for Youth.
The Mediterranean Office for Youth has awarded the Erasmus Mundus Master in Work, Organizational and Personnel Psychology with the label of excellence. This recognition entails the concession of several mobility grants for the students and teaching staff of the master.
This year, the fifth edition of the First Erasmus Mundus Program comes to an end. The reception of the Erasmus Mundus “Label of Excellence” makes possible a new series of five editions, with the European Union scholarships for students from Spain, Europe and the whole World. The Master is taught within the second Erasmus Mundus program by the consortium coordinated by the University of Valencia and composed by other six universities: Barcelona, Bologna, Coimbra, Paris-Descartes, Guelph and Brasilia.

Prof. dr. Berrin Erdogan (Portland State University) will teach a research seminar during her visit at the University of Valencia. 21 March- 1 April 2011. The seminar will be composed of several sessions on the following topics: (1) Leadership and leader-subordinate relationships, (2) Underemployment and Person-environment fit, and (3) How to write a scientific paper. The sessions will take place in the Salón de Actos of the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Valencia. During the next two weeks, fifty students from fourteen countries from different continents will participate in the internship stage of a Winter School organized by the Erasmus Mundus Master on WOP-P taught jintly by the Consortium of five European universities (Barcelona, Bologna, Coimbra, Paris Descartes and Valencia) and coordinated by a team of professors from the Faculty of Psychology and the IDOCAL Institute of the University of Valencia.
