Antoni Cunyat

I am an Associate Professor (Profesor Titular) at the Department of Economic Analysis, Universitat de València, and Research Fellow at ERI-CES. I also teach at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). My research spans game theory, behavioural economics, and labour economics.

Research

My research focuses on strategic interaction, bargaining theory, organisational design, and the economics of labour market institutions. I use game-theoretic, experimental, and applied methods to study commitment, negotiation, temporary employment, and motivation in organisations.

Over my career I have taught more than fifteen different courses across programmes at the Universitat de València and the UOC, including Introduction to Economics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Labour Economics, Game Theory, and Strategic Reasoning.

Media and Outreach

I regularly contribute analysis and commentary on economic issues for media outlets and academic platforms. My areas of expertise for public commentary include:

Energy Economics

Fuel pricing dynamics, energy market regulation, fossil fuel dependency, and the transition to renewables in Spain and the EU.

Inflation and Monetary Policy

Interest rate policy, ECB decisions, purchasing power, food price inflation, and income pacts.

Labour Markets

Temporary contracts, employment protection, wage dynamics, and work–life balance policies.
