About the Workshop

The OpenMolcas Developers' Workshop brings together developers and users of the OpenMolcas quantum chemistry software to discuss new methodologies, technical developments and future perspectives.

A brief history

The first Training Workshop of Molcas was held in 2006 in Valencia, bringing together researchers working on multiconfigurational methods and users. Over time, the project evolved into OpenMolcas as an open-source initiative, reflecting a broader collaborative effort within the community. In 2026, the workshop returns to Valencia, marking 20 years since its origin.
