Environmental researcher specializing in water quality monitoring, ecological assessment, aquatic ecology and quantitative environmental analysis, with experience integrating field observations, ecological indicators, remote sensing and statistical modelling.
I am a postdoctoral researcher at Valencia University in aquatic environmental science with expertise in water quality monitoring, ecological assessment, aquatic ecology and environmental data analysis. My research combines field-based environmental monitoring with quantitative methods, remote sensing and ecological indicators to understand and assess aquatic ecosystems.
I have extensive experience in large-scale freshwater monitoring programmes conducted within the framework of the EU Water Framework Directive (WFD), including physicochemical profiling, water-quality assessment, phytoplankton and zooplankton sampling, ecological indicators and environmental reporting.
My field experience includes more than 100 sampling campaigns in reservoirs, vertical water-column profiles using multiparameter probes, depth-stratified biological sampling and laboratory analyses. I have also contributed to the calibration and validation of remote-sensing approaches for water-quality monitoring.
My quantitative work focuses on R programming, statistical modelling, multivariate analysis, machine learning and ecological data analysis. I am particularly interested in integrating environmental observations, remote sensing and data-driven approaches to improve water-quality assessment and environmental decision-making.
