Valindia

The Valindia project is a cooperation effort that aims to foster a collaborative partnership between India and Valencia, with a focus on empowering young girls in India through skill development in scientific research. In addition, it aims to introduce science to very young girls and boys in rural areas, and make it accessible to them. Creating interest in science, we expect to motivate young pupils to further follow their studies. Recognizing the potential of girls in contributing to scientific advancements, we envision creating a platform that provides them with the necessary motivation, training, resources, and mentorship to pursue future research endeavors. In particular, favoring the possibility to perform in later stages internships at centers of the University of Valencia, such as the Institute of Corpuscular Physics (IFIC), center of excellence Severo Ochoa. By harnessing their curiosity and intellect, we seek to cultivate a new generation of female researchers who will not only excel in their fields but also inspire others in their communities. Through this collaboration, we aim to bridge cultural boundaries, promote gender equality, and harness the untapped talent that lies within the young girls of India.
