Research Lines
My research focuses on several key areas within pharmacology and drug discovery:
Drug Discovery with Emphasis on Combinatorial Therapies Against Melanoma
Focuses
on identifying and developing new therapeutic strategies, particularly
combination therapies, to combat melanoma, a severe form of skin cancer.
Drug Interactions with Emphasis on Herb-Drug and Food-Drug Interactions
Investigates
how herbal medicines and dietary components can interact with
conventional drugs, understanding their pharmacokinetic and
pharmacodynamic implications to ensure patient safety and optimize
treatment outcomes.
Developing New AI Assisted Platforms for the Prediction of Pharmacological Properties of Complex Bioactive Products
Leverages
artificial intelligence and in silico methods to predict the biological
activities of complex natural products, accelerating the drug discovery
process and improving the efficiency of compound screening.
In Vivo and In Vitro Studies on Anti-Inflammatory, Antioxidant and Anti-Infective Products with Emphasis on Skin Conditions
Conducts
experimental studies (both in living organisms and in laboratory
settings) to evaluate the effectiveness of natural compounds in
treating inflammation, oxidative stress, and infections, especially
those affecting the skin.
