Call, invitation to a journey, the beginning of a path.

 

We are a group of educators who live within a social system of education and we do not like . We do not like the social system not only be unjust , but because its existence is based on the increase in injustice as a superior form of wealth accumulation . I do not like the education system that reproduces this unjust social system . Let's be more specific : any classroom of any school , institute or university is potentially a laboratory in which to produce and reproduce the social components of this system : boredom , submission , ordering of life according to a predetermined taste , use, triviality the everyday worship of merchandise , fragmented and fragmentary knowledge , segregation , etc. . ( everyone can add what you wish ) . And let 's be clear from the outset : we only care Wert , Rajoy and the Popular Party because they are now executing a policy neoconservative and neoliberal economic terms in the cultural , which is fed with this unjust social system .


But , this is our desire, any classroom of any school , institute or university can be a laboratory in which to test relationships, forms of knowledge and ethical rules from which announced the possibility of free play between ways of life that banish economic and political systems and resolving unfair share what is common to all.


We are a group of educators tired of initial and ongoing training models in which we are considered incapable of thinking for ourselves, define our own professional problems and manage a kind of practical knowledge and we will empodere give autonomy and critical judgment . In the construction of practical knowledge for teaching has been and is a dominant type of training in which it seems that it is always the other site ( University vines , Unions, ... ) which is the supossat know professional . Our views , experiences , thoughts , and research proposals often ignored or not sufficiently taken into account. We are , therefore , a group of educators who agree on the need to own and self-managed spaces , open to knowledge and experience of the practice , while the political commitment to social transformation. I want to emphasize that we believe - it - both are inseparable issues : educational change and renewal is no stranger to the politics of social transformation. This idea that we now insist debtors educational and social movement that lit authors such as Freire and Freinet or that we identify as the critical theories and pedagogies . We claim , therefore, self-sustaining research and training areas in which we ourselves who decide the issues and problems that concern us . Claim at the same time, not corporate spaces in which people from other cultural and professional fields may also participate in the project work . Our idea of public school is a community project , whose construction and development and defense does not depend solely on the teachers.


For these reasons we launched the next call or invitation to travel : the creation of a working group open in seminar format , prepare for the spring months in a conference which discussed the way that education can have a autonomous and self- criticism , opening the possibility for the creation of seminars and independent groups working on different problems . This is an invitation to make the leap beyond yourself and professional isolation to attend the meeting with peers from which a political and pedagogical design in common.
