L'Alqueria del Basket maintains its commitment to offering top level training for coaches and trainers open to everyone.
Last year a step up in level was taken thanks to the university accreditation of the conference through the Basketball Chair L'Alqueria del Basket with the Universitat de València, and this year there will also be an added value that will offer coaches the most complete experience possible as a coach: Valencia Basket Coach Experience.
In addition to the usual option of attending the workshops, or attending them online for 12 euros with the best possible speakers, there is also the possibility of further improving the training received. Those who wish to do so may opt for the Coach Experience, thus having access to a complete training session developed at the Club before the workshop, with a discussion at the end of it with the coach who leads it, thus having the option to ask him about the work developed. Those who wish to live this experience will be able to do so for only 6 euros more, that is, 18 euros for the full day.
Moreover, this year, as another of the main novelties, all those registered for either of the two options will receive digital material related to the topics covered in the workshop. And as usual, the hours will continue to be valid for the FEB and FBCV coaching courses, with 4 hours per day for those who opt for the Coach Experience. A new step forward to offer the most complete training.
Start with Ferran Pizcueta on 21st October
We won't have to wait long to experience the first training day of the season. The workshops will start next Thursday 21st October with a high level speaker, Ferran Pizcueta. The current coach of the Taronja youth team will share his experience on the "Development of generic and specific motor skills with tactical intentionality previous to tactical and creative thinking in basketball". A talk that will focus on the importance of motor development previous to early specialisation in collective sports, which will take place in the central court of L'Alqueria at 8:30 p.m.
About Ferran Pizcueta
With experience in EBA and National League as coach and technical director in different Valencian clubs, the current Valencia Basket youth coach has also been Director of the Academies of Marina Ferragut, Víctor Claver and FP Unlimited Basketball. Coach in FBCV and FEB training categories, he was responsible and teacher of the Training and Tactics Area of the Valencian Federation's coaching courses and also collaborated in the scouting of FC Barcelona's youth teams as well as in the specific work of male and female players in various professional leagues.
Coach Experience with Héctor Rosa
Those registered who choose this option will start the Coach Experience with a coach of the renowned experience of Héctor Rosa, currently coach of the women's junior team, whose work they will be able to follow in a full training session, at the end of which they will be able to talk to him and comment on all the details they consider. The Coach Experience will start at 7:15 p.m. in the central court.
