Minimal pairs

/j/ yacht versus / dʒ / jot

The /j/ phoneme in English has a counterpart in Spanish, for example in the word "tiene" /tjene/. According to some, the / dʒ / phonemeis also found in Spanish in the words "yo", "ya", etc. A lot of Spanish speakers seem to pronounce "jot" instead of "yacht" so this is a problematic area.
