Food for thought
Finally, take a moment to reflect on the behavior of humor in
audiovisual texts and how to translate it. Think of how crucial it is
for the translator to be able 1) to detect as many elements as possible
in the source version and 2) to understand their nature and typology in
order to try to keep them in the translated version. Consider as well
the question of whether or not humor is translatable, and come to your
own conclusions.
