Women, art and antiquity: breaking clichés
Indigenous women
"Women, Art, and Antiquity. Breaking clichés" is a project of the Arsmaya Research Group at the University of Valencia aimed at giving visibility to women in past societies, through the creation of scenes made by artist Érika Meijide Jansen, illustrating the different roles they played, which have generally been silenced by History. To achieve this, we rely on iconographic, archaeological, epigraphic, literary, and ethnohistorical sources, the result of our research work. In the Multimedia tab you can find all calendar editions created by the project.
