Vice-Principal for Academic Regulations and Teaching Staff

 

Born in Yecla (Murcia, 1966), he resides in Benimaclet (Valencia) since he started his university studies. University’s Tenured Professor in the department of Applied Economics, he is assigned to the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Universitat de València.

Graduate in Economic and Business Sciences and PhD in Economy for the Universitat de València. He started working in 1990 in the department of Applied Economics, in the teaching unit of Economic Policy. His teaching takes place in various degrees of the Faculty of Social Sciences, particularly in courses of Labour Economics and Applied Economics in the degree of Labour Relations and Human Resources.

He was the director of the Master’s Degree in Employment and Human Resources.

His research activity focuses on the field of Labour Economics, with research and publications related to the Spanish labour market, job insecurity, gender inequality, corporate labour-management, the industry dynamics of productive sectors and territorial development.

Member of the Labour economy and employment policy research unit (ECOLAB) of the Universitat de València. Contributor of the Centre of Sociological Studies on Daily Life and Work (QUIT) of the UAB and the Union Institute of Work, Environment and Health (ISTAS).

Former Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and its Dean from 2012 to 2018. He formed part of the Teaching Staff Commission since 2006. Current member of the Senate of the Universitat de València since 2001.
