Vice-Principal for Studies

 

Born in Cheste (1958). She’s a full professor of Chemical Engineering in l’Escola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyeria. Graduate in Chemistry (major in Industrial Chemistry) and PhD in Chemistry from the Universitat de València. Extraordinary award winner in both Undergraduate Degree and PhD thesis, as well as Cañada Blach award winner in Undergraduate Degree.

She develops her teaching activity in the field of chemical engineering in undergraduate degrees of Chemical Engineering, of Chemistry and of Food Science and Technology; in Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering and in doctoral programmes.

She led and participated in several teaching innovation projects. She has participated in the working group that elaborated the Internal Quality Assurance System (SGIC) of the Universitat de València, in the Plan of Assessment and Improvement of Freshmen’s Academic Performance (PAMRA) and in the Plan of Quality of External Internship (PAPE). She has six five-year terms of certified teaching activity.

Her research is focused on optimizing multifunctional solid catalysts, in order to increase efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of petrochemical processes. In this area, she has published numerous articles in top quartile indexed journals, has presented papers at national and international conferences and has participated in competitive projects applied to the petrochemical industry.

She’s the co-author of two patents. A reviewer of international journals. She has six six-year terms of certified research activity.

Former member of the Advisory Board of the Universitat de València, member of the Senate during different periods, secretary of Department of Chemical Engineering, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry and deputy director of the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyeria.
