Elene Grimme is Associate General Counsel at Microsoft where she leads the Legal and Government Affairs professional in Western Europe Team based in Brussels, Belgium. In the last 14 years Ms. Grimme has held a variety of leadership positions at Microsoft in Europe and at the U.S. headquarters in Redmond, WA. Before joining Microsoft in 2007, Ms. Grimme worked both in-house and in private practice in Italy and the U.S., practicing primarily in the field of intellectual property law.
Ms Grimme holds an LL.B. degree (Hons) in English and European Law from Queen Mary University of London, and an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Antitrust Law from the University of New Hampshire, Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property.
