The Springer Nature website brings together research published by experts in the field of education related to the Sustainable Development Goals.

Without progress on Sustainable Development Goal 4, Quality Education, the world is unlikely to make much progress on any of the other goals. Education researchers know that quality education is fundamental to human, social and scientific development.

Each of the other 16 SDGs must be built on the foundation of education, because all research, progress and development must start with education. Without education, we lack engineers, physicists and chemists to develop sustainable energy; we lack marine biologists to explore the world under water; we lack economists to tackle poverty or develop decent work pathways; and so on.

Educators and education experts have published a wealth of SDG-related research in recent years aimed at addressing these urgent issues. And to maximise their impact, they have chosen to publish them in Springer Nature. On this page you will find a selection of that research, published under the Palgrave, Springer, Nature and BMC imprints.
